WSET Certification Scholarships


The Women of the Vine & Spirits Foundation WSET Certification Scholarship is designed to elevate and empower women in the beverage alcohol industry by removing financial barriers to professional advancement. Awarding scholarships ranging from $300 to $8,500, this opportunity helps recipients take the next step in their education journey by covering the cost of Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) courses.


Whether you're just starting out or ready to deepen your expertise, this scholarship supports WSET Levels 1-2 in Beer, Levels 1-3 in Sake, Levels 1–3 in Spirits and WSET Levels 1–4 in Wines. Applicants must specify their intended WSET Level when applying, as scholarship amounts vary by course level.


Please note: Scholarship recipients for WSET Levels 1–2 in Wines, Spirits or Beer must take their courses through an Approved Program Provider other than Women of the Vine & Spirits.

Applicant Eligibility Requirements for WSET Scholarship:

  • Must be legal drinking age in your country.

  • Essay (approximately 500 words), the topic of which is listed on the application.

  • One or two letters of recommendation.

  • Completed and signed scholarship application that meets the criteria and includes all required attachments, which must be postmarked or electronically submitted no later than 11:59PM on the application deadline date to be considered for the scholarship.

  • May not be an owner, officer, director or employee of Women of the Vine & Spirits, Women of the Vine & Spirits Global Symposium, Trellis Concepts LLC, and/or the Foundation.
